Brockham playgroup are celebrating the fantastic achievement of running for 40 years. Originally setup in 1981, the playgroup has been run by volunteers supporting the community.

The group provides a safe place for kids to grow, explore and learn new skills. It also provides important peer support to new parents over a cup of tea. Thankyou to all who have supported our playgroup and enabled us to continue over the years. I wanted to share with you just some of the marvellous memories made over the years.

In the summer of 2013 we celebrated the birth of Prince George by hanging babygros around the village on a huge stretch of bunting and featured in the Daily Telegraph on 23/7/2013.

In the summer of 2017 we buried a time capsule under the fence posts of the Brockham green village pump.

Summer 2013 we also dressed up teddy bears and held a Teddy Bears Picnic at the Brockham playground and held Teas on the Green in pink aprons to raise money for the playgroup.

Every year we are lucky enough to have a visit from Santa.

Recently we have held busy Nearly New Sales in the village hall in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023, a quiz night in the Royal Oak in 2019 and a stall at the 2019 Victorian Fair.
